The National African-American Insurance Association's 2014 National Conference and Empowerment Summit was held October 1-3 in Indianapolis, Indiana.  The conference theme was People, Purpose & Passion:  The Path to Success.

InVEST Workshop at NAAIA's Annual Conference

Jennifer Robinson conducted an InVEST session at the NAAIA conference with panel of volunteers from different NAAIA chapters.  They shared success stories and how they are engaging with students.  NAAIA highlighted InVEST several times during the conference and included  ACORD's video of Dale Sharpe Jenkins, Jenkins Agency, NAAIA Dallas volunteer, testimonial of their work with area schools.  NAAIA is truly succeeding in its efforts in helping students to understand about insurance and serving as role models for the next generation of insurance professionals.


 

NAAIA/JL Tillman Scholarship Dinner - The JL Tillman Scholarship Fund was created to promote higher educational opportunities for African-American students interested in careers within the insurance industry.  Applications were reviewed independently by the Dayton Foundation and two scholarships of $2000 each were awarded.
